We have been living in our rental house for 2.5 years. Although it is very roomy and cozy, it is still very much builder grade. There are many upgrades in the house and all the walls are the same tan color.
When I moved into my shop 2 years ago I needed a quick storage solution. I sold all my shop cabinets before I left Texas because I didn’t want to move them. I found a cabinet shop that was replacing cabinets in a school so they had several 8’ sections of upper and lower cabinets with a countertop.
Moving around the country with the US Coast Guard usually means I do not have a permanent shop. Each new location I move to means I have to find a new place for the shop. I have been lucky enough to have a garage big enough to call a shop.
In 2017 the Woodshop 101 Podcast hosted it's first annual cutting board build off. It was a huge hit and there were over 50 entries. Many of those entries came from people who never made a cutting board before. Cutting boards can be as basic or as complex as you want to make it.
